Adware Bot - Full Review
Adware Bot is one of the new kids on the block in the spyware removal game, but can this rogram out-perform the big guns such as NoAdware or XoftSpySE?
Features:
Right off the bat I was impressed by Adware Bot, mainly by its presentation
during and immediately after the initial download. The first thing I
noticed was that the software immediately updated itself upon opening
(a good thing, as you always want to be up-to-date in the spyware/adware
removal game). Once it had finished updating, the program opened up
and again I was impressed by the graphic design of the program. However,
looks don't mean anything if the program is not effective; so we'll
see what happens after it runs a scan. Feature-wise, Adware Bot sports
a full registry backup option, automatic scheduling, and a full "deep"
system scan. More options than most of these programs provide; again
I was impressed by this newcomer.
Support:
There are two support options available for Adware Bot - a full page
of tutorials on the program, and an e-mail support address that you
can contact with any questions or concerns you may have about the software.
Nothing out of the ordinary here; and honestly you aren't going to run
into many problems using a spyware remover product (at least using it;
there is always the possibility of deleting something that should not
have been deleting and messing up your registry, which is what the registry
backup feature is for).
Scanning Ability
Looks and features are great, but they mean nothing without a solid
base - the program needs to be able to perform. I ran the scan on the
test computer, and was again impressed by this new program called Adware
Bot. It was able to detect 1,150 files (nearly as many as NoAdware and
XoftSpySE), and provided options to quarantine or completely delete
the infected files. Overall, this program provides solid scanning ability
and a plethora of features to find and remove any spyware or adware
